Information:  You are invited to join an evening with the River Sid Catchment Group to learn more about the conservation work that’s taking place along the River Sid. We’ll introduce what we’re currently doing and what we’re hoping to achieve, to improve the health of the river, the habitats and support both wildlife and people within the catchment.

We’ll also cover plans we’re developing with experts from the Environment Agency and West Country River’s Trust, to adapt impassable barriers within the river, such as School Weir. This will allow migrating fish – such as sea trout and salmon which are pillars of the river eco system – to head up stream to suitable breeding grounds.

In the second half of the evening, you’ll have a chance to discuss your thoughts and raise questions about the planned conservation work.
